When Alex reported to the ED with a severe headache at the end of January 2021, he was dealt a hand that any twenty-seven year old, otherwise healthy young man, could have never expected.   Following and abnormal CT scan he was transferred by ambulance to UPMC Presby.  Less than 24 hours later a neurosurgical team removed a malignant brain tumor from his temporal lobe.  We are ever thankful to Dr. Wecht and his skillful team! 

We honestly and sincerely appreciate the outpouring of love and support that surrounds us!!!   All who know Alex love his generous heart, his quick smile, and his fun-loving attitude!  He has always shown his passion for life and his compassion to others; proving his beliefs by his actions.  He is a thoughtful son and a solid friend enjoying lasting bonds with high school friends, Kappa Sigma brothers, and his band-mates.  He is an amazing drummer! 

Alex is fighting glioblastoma and will soon  begin an aggressive treatment of chemotherapy and radiation.  Please help Alex fight!!   Any and all donations, prayers, and well wishes are met with heartfelt appreciation!  Donations will greatly assist in significant medical bills and financial obligations to provide Alex the best chance for success!!
