I learned from my parents what it is to be giving. Whether that was providing someone with a warm place to spend the night or a home-cooked plate of latino food. My parents have always made it a point to give generously expecting nothing in return; this is a chance for us to return the blessing. My dad has had three major surgeries (one being an emergency) all within the last few months. My dad having surgery means he is unable to work and has put him and my mom in a position of financial hardship. Our goal is 3,000 dollars. Once my dad finally gets to go home from the hospital, my parents can use this money to cover bills and everyday costs such as gas and groceries etc. Without having to worry about these everyday necessities, my Dad can put all of his energy into getting better and my mom into taking care of him. Every little bit counts and we appreciate all the support we have received during this time.
