Help Alex and Jessica Rebuild After Fire
Donation protected
On November 27th, Alex Kolpan and Jessica Brasseur's apartment caught flame and burned completely along with three other apartments in the building.
Jessica escaped through a rear window of their second story apartment as the front of the house— and the apartment’s only entrance —was blocked by the flames. She was taken to the Ochsner Baptist Hospital and treated for smoke inhalation. Alex, who was out of town with family, booked the first flight home on Wednesday morning.
One of their kittens, Maggie (left) was found and brought to the vet by their neighbor. Their other kitten, Poppy (right), remains missing.
They lost everything they owned, including clothes, electronics, furniture, beds, books, journals, family photographs, artwork, and personal essays, in addition to irreplaceable personal belongings.
Please support as Alex and Jessica get back on their feet and try to regain a sense of normalcy.
