Help Alex and his team rebuild their home

My name is Caleb Beavers. I live in Boulder, Co, I’m a slackliner and highliner, and I am raising money to help Alex Ssempijja build a new house. Alex and his family live in the slums of Uganda. I know it’s been hard here in the US, but I think about how much more difficult it is in other countries where the pandemic has hit especially hard; where they don’t have the government infrastructure and social services that we are so fortunate to have here. I connected with Alex through Instagram several months ago and have been very inspired by him and his team of acrobats and jugglers, who are using their athletic talents to support their families. His story is one of hope, courage, and thankfulness. I even mailed them two of my slackline kits so they can start to incorporate slacklining in their stunts. It has been great getting to know Alex and what his life is like in Uganda, but he needs our help.  Here is the message from Alex, as well as a video:

"Hello nice friends , My name is Alex Ssempijja from Uganda Kampala ( Slums ) . We are a group participating in acrobatics, circus, and soccer as to change our life style. We live in a low class community ( slums ) and it has been the hardest times since the out break of the pandemic, and the effects of the lockdown left us hungry and not schooling . Our goal is to raise 5000 dollars which will be spent on reconstructing our home and for food, ( buying building materials and food stuffs ) . We have been staying in a traditional rammed home ( house made out of soil) for years as a family and were joined by more talented and needy people who need shelter around the community. Please donate and share this campaign to more nice people around for this meaningful cause. Thank you"

This pandemic has thrown us all for a loop, but I cannot imagine how hard Alex and his community have it. It would be incredible if we could help provide a better living space for all of them (and probably put some food on their tables as well). I am grateful to be able to pursue my passion of highlining and slacklining, and It would be great if I could help Alex and his team do the same and live in decent housing.
