Help Alex and Alexa with medical expenses

My name is Christian Blackburn, and I never thought I would have to set up a GoFundMe, but my friend Alex's wife Alexa Bebout has neuroendocrine pancreatic cancer. She is too young and sweet to be dealt this card as she is only 30 years old and just had a baby boy Brendan a couple of months ago.

Alex and Alexa discovered the illness while having their obstetrics appointments leading up to Brendan's birth. While they stay strong for each other and their two children, it is a scary situation with many unknowns. They have had several trips to the emergency room and ICU for related complications. Alex and Alexa are fortunate that their parents and grandparents can help babysit the children. But they must take quite a bit of time off work to travel to Iowa City for specialty treatment.

The loss of wages and soon-to-be $5/gallon gas for the frequent Iowa City trips will take a financial toll. Help them with what you can so they can focus on their health and each other. The less worry Alexa has, the more her body can focus on fighting cancer. We hope they can conquer this and enjoy raising their children without worrying about what the next day holds.
