Help Alethea While She Recovers From Surgery

Well, folks, the time has come. I'm going in for surgery on my knee in a few days, and I'll be laid out for at least six weeks after (what a way to spend my summer...). I have family supporting me with a place to live and helping with the rehab/physical therapy stuff, but I still have bills to pay. Without being able to run the cleaning business I've had for 10 years, I will not have any reliable income coming in for a couple of months.
The surgery needs to happen because as someone who works their tail off as a professional cleaner, being able to get down on my knees to scrub is literally a necessity. After the surgery and recovery, I'm going to be back and better than ever. It is just getting through the summer and paying my bills that I could use some help with.
The timing for the surgery is good right now. With the moral support of friends and family, I know that I will get through it. My business is in good hands, and it is not something I am worried about. But, like I said, I still have personal financial obligations to meet, and any little bit helps with that. As I'm working through my physical therapy, I don't want to be worried about whether I can keep my cell phone service and make all of the other payments that come with a life well lived.
With the surgery happening in just a few days, I would like to go into it knowing that my finances are a little more secure. I have some savings for some of the business bills, but it isn't going to last long. So if I could reach my goal of $5,000 by June 9, that would be fantastic! To do that, it would take $25 from only 200 people.
I am going into this surgery and the post-op committed to coming through stronger and getting back to making the world a better place. As I work through it all, I will be keeping everyone updated via this page. I want every person who donates to me this summer to know just how much their support means to me.
