This year has been incredibly trying and painful for me. In November 2024, I learned that my twin sister had breast cancer. At first, we were told it was stage 1, but soon discovered it was actually stage 4, and the cancer quickly ravished her body. Doctors thought she might have a year, but she passed away just four days after November began. Losing my twin so suddenly has left me heartbroken and struggling to cope.
When I found out how serious her illness was, I told my job at Chick-Fil-A that I needed to be with her, and I left to go to Washington, DC. Unfortunately, my job doesn’t offer bereavement pay, I’ve fallen behind on rent and am at risk of losing my home. I am a couple of days from eviction the process will take place next week. The week of the 19th thru 23rd
I’m reaching out for help to keep a roof over my head. Any support you can offer during this difficult time would mean the world to me. Thank you for reading my story and for considering a donation.
