Mi chiamo Valeria ed ho conosciuto un Angelo.
Quest'Angelo si chiama Alessandro Di Mauro, ha 27 anni, è nato ad Augusta e nel 2008 è stato vittima di un terribile incidente.
Alessandro ha subito 37 interventi, innumerevoli ricoveri e a causa del fortissimo dolore fisico necessita di antidolorifici e di attenzioni mediche costanti.
Il 27/07/2008 Alessandro, a causa di un fortissimo impatto con l'acqua dopo un tuffo, diventa paraplegico.
Sarebbe dovuto essere un giorno triste ma non lo è stato. Alessandro quel giorno è rinato.
Sono stati anni terribili ma Alessandro, grazie al suo amore per la vita è riuscito a risalire e a diventare un esempio incredibile di lotta e coraggio, sopratutto tra i giovani.
Le spese mediche e gli interventi di Alessandro sono davvero molto costosi, la famiglia è stata costretta a vendere la propria casa di Augusta per poter affrontare i costi delle tante operazioni.
Io ed insieme ai suoi amici vogliamo organizzare per lui una raccolta fondi, per potergli permettere un po' di serenità economica, poter acquistare un computer capace di supportare i programmi di cui necessita, per poter fare in modo che possa viaggiare con la sua famiglia e per riuscire a coprire i costi delle visite.
Vorrei che per un attimo, ci abbracciassimo tutti e diventassimo una comunità unita, lottando insieme ad Alessandro ed alla sua preziosissima famiglia.
Alessandro ci insegna a non dare nulla per scontato, che ogni situazione nella vita non è altro che un ostacolo da affrontare e di essere felici, sempre.
Una piccola donazione non è una privazione, ma un atto d'amore.

My name is Valeria and I met an Angel.
His name is Alessandro Di Mauro, he's 27 years old, born in Augusta and in 2008 he's been the victim of a tragic accident.
Alessandro has been through 37 operations and because of the atrocious pain he feels, he is in constant need of pain killers and important medical attentions.
On the 27/07/2008 Alessandro, because of the tremendous impact to the water, caused by a dive, becomes paraplegic.
It was supposed to be a sad day, people say, but it wasn't.
Alessandro that day was reborn.
These have been terrible years but thanks to his will to live and love for life, Alessandro has managed to rise up again and became a truly example of strength and courage.
The costs of his medical treatments and operations are very expensive, the family was forced to sell the house in Brucoli and moved to Imola in order to hold the costs for his care.
Myself together with his friends want to organise a fundraiser in order to give Alessandro some financial serenity, to help him buy a proper computer suitable for the softwares he needs and to help him travel with his family.
I wish we can all hug tight together as a community, fighting with Alessandro and his precious family.
Alessandro teaches us not to take anything for granted, that every situation in life is only a challenge to face and to be happy, always.
