Help Alejandro Overcome Legal and Medical Debt

My name is Alejandro, and right now, I’m writing to you with a heart full of fear and desperation, hoping that you might be able to help me in what has become the most challenging moment of my life.

I’ve been living in Ecuador, working tirelessly to support myself and my family, taking on any job I can find just to cover basic expenses. Recently, I was hired as a bartender for a private party, and that night changed my life forever. A fire broke out, and four people, including myself, were severely burned.

The explosion, likely caused by poor maintenance of the gas fireplace or unsafe materials, left us with burns ranging from first to third degree. But despite this tragedy, no one has stepped up to take responsibility. Instead, I’ve been unfairly blamed, and now I’m being forced to pay compensation to three guests who were injured alongside me.

Two of them have taken legal action against me, accusing me of causing the fire. Even though I offered to pay for what their insurance didn’t cover, they rejected my offer and are demanding more money than I can possibly afford. If I can’t raise the amount in less than 20 days, I’ll face further legal action that could send me to jail.

All I wanted that night was to earn a simple $25 to help pay for my basic needs, but instead, I left with unbearable injuries and a mountain of debt. I am terrified and overwhelmed. I have a family depending on me, and the thought of not being able to take care of them breaks my heart.

I am trying to raise funds through local events, but the truth is, I can’t do this on my own. I feel completely powerless, watching my life spiral out of control, and I need your help to keep going.
