**Help Lady Alejandra Return Home After ICE Detention**

Dear friends, family, and anyone concerned about immigrants being detained in the U.S.,

I’m fundraising on behalf of my dear friend's niece, Lady Alejandra García Hernández, who was recently detained by ICE in Florida. My friend Vicky lives in Chiapas, Mexico, and runs a nonprofit that supports Indigenous communities. She is deeply trustworthy, and if you’d like to speak with her directly, let me know — you’ll feel her sincerity immediately.

The money raised will go toward a plane ticket to bring Alejandra home to her children, and to help her rebuild her life and pay off the debt she incurred trying to reach safety in the US.

As a thank you, anyone who donates $100 or more is welcome to schedule a 1:1 healing session with me. I’m a trained therapist. While this won’t be a therapy session, I now offer spiritual and life coaching, especially for those feeling lost or overwhelmed by the state of the world, or going through big transitions in life, love, or purpose. **Alejandra’s Story**

Lady Alejandra was born in Chiapas, Mexico, in 1992. When she was only 18, she began a relationship with a partner who later became abusive — verbally, physically, and emotionally — even during pregnancy. The violence was so severe that she once nearly miscarried.

After her second child was born, things got worse. Her partner provided no financial support. Alejandra had to work to feed her children, but he resented her independence and eventually kicked her and the children out at midnight in the rain, threatening to kill them. She left with nothing but her children and the clothes on their backs.

Desperate to protect her family, she made the heartbreaking decision to flee Mexico and leave her two young children with her mother. She went into debt to pay for the dangerous journey across the desert, hoping to find safety in the United States. She eventually made it to Florida and started earning money and sending it back to her children and diabetic mother. But less than 2 years later, on July 11, she was detained by ICE and is now being held in the Broward Transitional Center in Florida.

Her only option is **voluntary departure**. She has no right to bail, and no way to pay for a plane ticket home. She is returning to Chiapas with even more debt than when she left.

But she’s not alone. Her children, mother, and siblings are waiting for her. She just needs help getting back to them.

La Historia de Alejandra

Lady Alejandra nació en Chiapas, México, en 1992. A los 18 años comenzó una relación con una pareja que más tarde se volvió abusiva — verbal, física y emocionalmente — incluso durante el embarazo. La violencia fue tan grave que estuvo a punto de perder al bebé.

Después de que nació su segundo hijo, la situación empeoró. Su pareja no brindaba ningún apoyo económico. Alejandra tuvo que salir a trabajar para alimentar a sus hijos, pero él resentía su independencia y finalmente los echó a ella y a los niños de la casa a medianoche, bajo la lluvia, amenazando con matarlos. Desesperada por proteger a su familia, tomó la dolorosa decisión de huir de México y dejar a sus dos hijos pequeños al cuidado de su madre. Se endeudó para poder cruzar el desierto, con la esperanza de encontrar seguridad en los Estados Unidos. Finalmente llegó a Florida, donde empezó a trabajar y a enviar dinero a sus hijos y a su madre, quien es diabética. Pero menos de dos años después, el 11 de julio, fue detenida por ICE y ahora está en el Centro de Detención Broward Transitional, en Florida.

Su única opción es la salida voluntaria. No tiene derecho a fianza ni forma de pagar el boleto de regreso a casa. Regresará a Chiapas con aún más deuda de la que tenía cuando se fue.

Pero no está sola. Sus hijos, su madre y sus hermanos la esperan. Solo necesita ayuda para volver con ellos.
