Help Alejandra Rebuild Her Home

Estamos organizando esta campaña en nombre de Alejandra y Liliana, dos mujeres bondadosas y trabajadoras de Medellín, Colombia, cuya casa fue destruida por un incendio devastador.

Esta tragedia les arrebató todo: su ropa, sus pertenencias, sus recuerdos y el techo bajo el cual vivían. Pero lo más doloroso es que Alejandra, quien estaba trabajando arduamente en su doctorado investigando las abejas y sus ecosistemas, perdió gran parte de su trabajo, materiales de investigación y documentos esenciales. Años de esfuerzo y dedicación se perdieron en cuestión de minutos.

Hoy, Alejandra y Liliana necesitan ayuda urgente para empezar de nuevo. Los fondos recaudados se destinarán a cubrir necesidades básicas como comida, ropa, alojamiento temporal, y también para que Alejandra pueda retomar su camino académico y reconstruir su investigación.

We are reaching out on behalf of Alejandra and Liliana, two kind-hearted and hardworking women from Medellin, Colombia, whose lives were forever changed when their home was tragically destroyed in a recent fire.

This heartbreaking event took everything from them—clothing, furniture, cherished memories, and the roof over their heads. Even more devastating, Alejandra, who has been tirelessly working toward her PhD studying bees and their ecosystems, lost the majority of her research, equipment, and academic work in the fire. Years of dedication and passion were reduced to ashes in a matter of minutes.

Alejandra and Liliana now face the daunting task of rebuilding their lives from the ground up. They urgently need help with basic necessities like food, clothing, and shelter—as well as support to help Alejandra resume her academic journey and continue her important work. It will be a long process to rebuilding the home they once had, but we can do it with your help and support.
