Dear Friends, Family, and Kindhearted Strangers,
My name is Katiana, and I’m reaching out for support for my incredible sister, Alejandra, who suffered a life-altering stroke just a week ago at the age of 51.
The stroke affected her ability to walk, speak, and use her dominant right side. She’s bravely facing this challenge and has already started rehab, showing promising progress. However, her journey to recovery will be long and difficult. She’ll need significant help at home to rebuild her life, regain her independence, and adjust to her new reality.
Unfortunately, her current living situation isn’t ideal for someone in her condition. The apartment isn’t safe or equipped for her physical limitations, and we’re hoping to either make the necessary modifications or, ideally, move her to a better home where she can continue her recovery safely and comfortably.
Additionally, she cannot return to work right now, which adds financial strain to her situation. We’re raising funds to cover:
• Home modifications or moving to a more accessible living space
• Medical expenses and ongoing rehab therapy
• Caregiving support and basic living needs during her recovery.
We’re hoping to raise $20,000-$50,000 depending on needs. Every dollar will go directly toward helping Lala heal, rebuild, and live a full, dignified life after this life-changing event.
If you cannot contribute financially, sharing this campaign with others would mean the world to us. We’re deeply grateful for any support you can provide—big or small.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity during this difficult time.
With gratitude,
Katiana Polanco
