For 5 years Alec has dealt with intractable nerve pain, headaches and migraines. He has not had a migraine free day for 6 months. He has had to drop out of school, quit his job and feel helpless. He has seen every doctor imaginable and finally, finally we have hope. A decompression surgery that will take the compression off the nerve in his neck which is the source of all his pain. The surgeon says he has high hopes that this will be it, no more or extremely reduced pain. I have never known my husband without a headache, when I first met him he was in pain 5 years ago. He is so strong pushing through all these years but it has taken its toll not just physically but mentally on all of us. I have been our sole source of income, and what I make isn't enough, we've been living off of savings, and those will soon be depleted. Insurance won't cover the cost of this surgery for us.
