Help Aleah Heal: Medical and Family Support

Our beautiful daughter recently attempted to take her own life by overdosing on prescription medication that was not hers. She was life flighted to Des Moines after having whole body seizures that would not stop. After spending 3 nights in the ICU at Des Moines Children's hospital, she was transferred to an inpatient facility in Clive. She has been there for 5 days. My husband, Chris, has been approved for FMLA, but it is unpaid and unfortunately he does not have any pto to cover time off. We have exhausted all of our financial resources and need some help with medical bills, gas to go back and forth, food expenses, other bills that will or have fallen behind, along with the continous treatments Aleah will be receiving upon release. My husband will probably kill me once he realized I'm out here asking for help like this, but I don't know what else to do. He is a very private person.
