Meet Alea—a vibrant pop-up bakery, café, and private dinner experience led by us, Brendan and Haley Byer. Nestled in the heart of McMinnville, OR, Alea came to fruition in 2024 with a bold mission: to bring a high-quality bread program, pastries, and fine-dining to the Pacific Northwest. Our two diverse backgrounds bring a true culmination of an over 13-year tenure in an ever-evolving industry.

Drawing on family roots and extensive Michelin-level fine dining experience, we infuse sophistication and traditions into every bite while preserving the warmth of a neighborhood bakery.

In our first year, we’ve been truly humbled by the overwhelming support we’ve received. Our partnership with Mac Market has allowed us to grow, improve our craft, and see our vision take shape. The positive response to our products and pop-up events has been incredible, and we are deeply grateful for the love from the community. It’s this support that has made Alea’s first year such a success—and as we look to the future, we’re excited to keep building on this momentum.

As we dive into year two, just like any small business, we aim to scale and grow in a manner that would provide us a more consistent space to offer our products to this amazing community. We are excited to announce-we will be moving into a space in Mac Market later this summer!
