Help Our Family Recover After a Hit-and-Run Car Accident and Get Back on the Road
My husband was recently involved in a serious hit-and-run car accident while driving a vehicle kindly lent to us by a close friend. The other driver fled the scene with a family member or friend who picked him up, and due to a language barrier, my husband had a difficult time communicating with them. This traumatic incident has deeply affected our family, and we urgently need your help.
I am disabled from various health issues, including back surgery, which makes reliable transportation essential for me to attend appointments with my specialists. We also have an 11-year-old child who needs to get to school daily, and two adult children in college who rely on our vehicle as well.
My husband is both physically and mentally disabled. Since the accident, he has suffered a fractured rib, severe abdominal pain, and new, troubling symptoms. He has also developed severe anxiety and PTSD, experiencing nightmares and flashbacks that make day-to-day life very difficult. While he was seen at the ER, he urgently needs follow-up care from his regular doctors, but without a vehicle, getting to appointments is a huge challenge.
Unfortunately, we lack the funds to repair our car or replace the vehicle we were using. Without transportation, managing medical appointments and caring for our family becomes nearly impossible.
I am starting this GoFundMe not only to cover medical and transportation costs but also to repay my friend for his kindness and graciousness in lending us his vehicle during this difficult time.
We humbly ask for your support to help us cover medical expenses, get my husband to his follow-up visits, and repair or replace our vehicle so we can regain stability and provide for our children’s education and care.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference during this difficult time. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and generosity.
