Help Albus Recover

Sweet mister Albus was most likely hit by a car last Sunday and was rescued by our kind neighbors. We are so grateful for the staff at VCA who cared for kitty and helped us get him home. During his four night stay at VCA emergency hospital they completed numerous tests, xrays, and procedures. He received blood transfusions for severe anemia, and becasue of his extensive facial trauma, an esophagostomy tube was placed for feeding. Incredibly, he doesn't have any breaks or fractures, but he's unable to walk on his own due to nerve damage in the front legs. There is some hope that normal leg function will return, but the recovery road will be slow and bumpy. Our bill from VCA totals $10,000 and Albus will need continued care, follow ups, and medication. We have maxed our CareCredit card out and will use this GFM to help pay it off. With everything going on in the world, asking for help is dificult, but we've been blown away by the support and love we received from our community and from total strangers.
