Help Albus fix his leg!
Our eldest of the 3, Albus, is in need of TPLO, which stands for Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy, a surgical procedure in veterinary medicine to treat cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) rupture in dogs. The surgery involves cutting and rotating the top portion of the shin bone (tibia) to reduce the angle of the tibial plateau, which stabilises the knee joint and prevents the forward and backwards movement of the tibia during weight bearing.
