Help Alberto Esparza Get the Medical Care He Needs

I’m reaching out on behalf of our dear friend Alberto Esparza, who is going through an incredibly difficult time. What first seemed like a simple respiratory infection quickly developed into severe pneumonia, and after several tests, doctors discovered lesions on Alberto’s lung and liver — the underlying cause of how seriously ill he became.

While Alberto is doing a bit better now, his condition is still fragile, and his family is facing overwhelming medical expenses. So far, they’ve spent over $5,300 USD and are still paying about $880 USD per day for ongoing treatment. They’ve already used most of Beto’s savings and have had to rely on credit cards to cover the rest.

Once Alberto is stable enough to go home, he’ll still need a special medical machine to continue his recovery — equipment that can cost anywhere between $880 and $5,900 USD, depending on the model and availability. On top of all this, there’s a real risk that Alberto could lose his job, since he’s not being treated through IMSS (the public healthcare system).

We’re organizing this GoFundMe to help raise at least $9,000 USD to cover his ongoing hospital care, recovery equipment, and other related expenses.
