Hi everyone,

This is really hard for me to share, and I never thought I’d be in this position. My name is Alberto Piña, I’m 31 years old and a father to my 12-year-old son, Axel Piña. We’ve been living in the home I bought in 2022 here in El Paso, TX — it’s our safe space and the place we’ve built our life.

Until recently, I had a great job, but I was wrongfully terminated in January 2025. Since then, I’ve used up my 401(k) savings just trying to keep up with the mortgage and bills. I’ve been applying for jobs constantly, but haven’t had any luck — every door seems to close before it even opens.

In the meantime, I’ve been doing everything I can to stay afloat — cleaning houses, Uber, DoorDash — anything to provide for my son and keep our home. But despite all my efforts, things have gotten really tight financially, and I’m now at risk of falling behind on our home.

I’m reaching out with a humble heart to ask for help covering one month’s mortgage payment — $2,000 — just to give us a little breathing room and keep a roof over our heads.
