On Monday evening, 10/25, my Riverside Plant Manager, Albert Mejia, along with his family (wife Delia & their four children Matthew, Galileah, Nathan, & Sabastian) experienced what most families' would consider a worst nightmare: the complete loss of their home due to an electrical fire. Albert and Delia were not at home at the time, as they were taking care of their oldest son at the ER that evening. Luckily for them, their 14-yr old daughter, Galileah, had the presence of mind to call her parents and then quickly help get her younger brothers and the two family dogs out of the house before it was quickly engulfed in flames. Unfortunately they lost absolutely everything, outside of the clothes they were wearing when they escaped. This could not come at a worse time considering the holidays are right around the corner. Albert is one of the hardest working people I know, and I've had the pleasure of meeting his lovely wife as well. They aren't ones to ask for help, but we all know insurance only covers so much, and the immediate costs of clothing, food, temporary housing, etc. will add up very quickly. Even if it's just a few dollars, anything you can spare to help Albert and his family would be greatly appreciated! And if nothing else, please help by sharing this page with anyone you know!
