Help Me Cross This Threshold To Continue Onward Without Penalty
I’m currently in Morocco, where I’ve spent the last few months completing sacred work connected to my dissertation on ancestral dream knowledge and ceremonial memory. My visa is now expiring, and I must leave today, May 5, 2025, to avoid being fined and jeopardizing my ability to return in the future.
I’ve been waiting on a financial aid refund from my university, Fielding Graduate University, which still hasn’t arrived. I was counting on that support to cover this onward flight, but time has run out.
I’m asking for $1,500 to help me get to my next destination safely, without incurring legal or financial penalties.
Every dollar helps, truly. Even a small amount gets me closer to the gate.
If you’ve been touched by my work, if the vision of ceremonial restoration resonates with you, or if you simply feel moved to help, I would be deeply grateful.
Thank you for helping me cross this threshold with grace, and for protecting my ability to return to this sacred land in the future.
Here's a short about me that touches upon my dissertation research:
Alaya is a doctoral candidate whose project and life's work center on ancestral dream knowledge, matrilineal epistemologies, and the reclamation of Indigenous cosmologies. Her dissertation engages decolonial inquiry to challenge Eurocentric historiography by restoring ceremonial frameworks rooted in ancestral memory and relational continuity.
