Help Alashi family rebuild after war in Gaza

Asalamu alaikum,

My name is Emad Elhalaby and I am fundraising for my family from Gaza. They recently evacuated to Egypt from Gaza (first fleeing the north to live in a tent in southern Gaza before crossing the border to Egypt) after surviving a horrible war. They are currently trying to rebuild their lives with dignity. Please hear from my cousin below:

My name is Marwan Alashi, a self-made man aged 73. At this age, I should be enjoying comfort and peace, but fate had other plans. I built my life from scratch with unimaginable effort and toil, investing 35 years of continuous work. I started with a small shop and eventually became the owner of the most prominent paint and decoration shop in Gaza, which is "Alashi paints "over the past seven years.

In 2005, I fulfilled my dream of building a home for my six children, who were my partners in success. The building we lived in housed 25 people from my family with our showroom for the business on the ground floor and our factory in the building behind us. The cost of building the house was around $480,000, while the cost of my business and goods was approximately $450,000. But in a single moment, everything was destroyed in front of my eyes. Phosphorus bombs fell, demolishing my home and my business, and I watched the toil of my life disappear.

Alashi Paints and Decorations was like my child, growing before my eyes. Through it, I instilled in my children a love for trade and work, preparing them to manage the business after my retirement. Indeed, they were my partners in the business, and the project succeeded in providing a livelihood for more than 13 families, including investors, workers, and distributors.

Now, at this age, I find myself forced to rebuild my life from scratch. I moved to Egypt seeking safety and stability after the hardships I endured in Gaza during the war. I am asking for your help to raise capital, which would allow me to start a new business, regain part of myself and my life, and support myself and my family once again.

I am asking for $97,000 to rebuild my name in a new place, support my family, and restart my professional journey with my children and family after 35 years of hard work in trade. The money that we raise will be the start-up capital to rebuild my paint business in Egypt, inshallah.

Imagine all the years of my life spent building and working, disappearing in a single moment. Any support, no matter how small, will have a significant impact on rebuilding my life.
