Hope Adair Newman

Our family has endured a tremendous loss. Our sister-in-law Alannah and her husband Jason have lost their baby girl, Hope,  that was expected to be born in April. We are reaching out to our friends and family for support on their behalf.

These past few months have been emotionally hard for them both and we want to help in any financial burden that will come.

Before Hope came along, Alannah had been on bed rest at Woman's Hospital in Baton Rouge due to her water breaking at 22 weeks. A plan for bed rest for unknown weeks to months to help the development of the baby's lungs and heart. Baby and mom did well for several weeks during bed rest.

On December 24th, 2020 Hope Adair Newman was born in Baton Rouge. at 26 weeks weighing 1lbs 7.2oz. Hope was born on Christmas Eve early in the morning. A Christmas miracle.

Hope Newman was born with an infected blood clot in her heart and received multiple rounds of antibiotics and blood transfusions while she was in the NICU.

During this time mom was given a second surgery due to complications during her first c-section.

Although, despite the team at women's and Hope's best efforts for weeks, her health had deteriorated as such, that she peacefully passed away on January 26th 2021.

While her lungs never developed, her kidneys shut down, her heart tired. She was now in a place where she no longer had to fight.

Hope was laid to rest on January 30th. Hope now rests at Rosaryville Cemetery in Ponchatoula la.

Jack and Fancy Hanks, parents of Alannah have stood by Alannah and Jason's side during this tragic loss. Mia, Alannah and Jason's 4 year old daughter, would have been a been a big sister, she was over the moon about a baby sister.

The family appreciates all prayer as they journey through this very difficult time. Any help in any amount would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all so much for any amount of financial, emotional, and spiritual support you offer during this delicate time.
