Help Alanna Vreeland Beat Breast Cancer

Donation protected
This fundraiser is for our sister, Alanna Vreeland. Alanna is the steady force at the center of the Vreeland family. She is a wife to Jared Vreeland and mom to their three nuggets: Cole (3 years old), Finley (5 years old, going on 15), and Cooper (5 months old). Alanna is a pediatric nurse and has dedicated her career to helping sick children. Her stoicism in the face of so much heartbreak is an inspiration for all of us who know her.

Alanna was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer in October, at the age of 37. The diagnosis was unexpected given Alanna’s age, health, and lack of a family history of breast cancer. Triple-negative breast cancer is an aggressive and fast-growing cancer that requires a multi-faceted approach to treat. The first facet is a mastectomy, which Alanna underwent on November 13 and is currently recovering from. The next steps in the treatment are months of physical therapy, chemotherapy, and potentially radiation. However, given the high likelihood of the cancer returning, Alanna is also seeking out additional treatments not covered by health insurance, such as immunotherapy and integrative medicine.

The Vreeland's are, of course, prioritizing Alanna’s treatment over her returning to work, which translates to a substantial loss of income for the family. We have created this fundraiser to help bridge the financial gap the family needs for Alanna to focus on beating the cancer. Anything you can contribute is immensely helpful. Any unused funds will be donated to cancer research. Thank you in advance!
