Help Alanna and Terry recover from flood loss

Hi. My name is Christine. My brother in law, sister and their four kid’s have lost their home in the Sumas Prairie flood. They have no insurance as they live on a flood plain. This was a traumatizing experience for their entire family. Water rushed in with five minutes notice they had to pick the kids up (literally) and put them in the car. The water was up to their car window and they had to drive out leaving their eldest daughter to try to drive out herself with their three dogs. My niece made it to a home on high ground as she was unable to make it out. She was later taken by rescue boat to be with her parents and siblings.

They are now left with the stress of not having a home and the stress of what will they do from here.

My brother in law and sister are selfless people and have always offered to help those in need as they can.

If you could find it in your heart to help her family during this time to fix and rebuild their home I know they would be forever grateful. Their home has extensive damage and it was heartbreaking to have to see my brother in law, with friends and family try to salvage whatever they can amongst the damage today.
