Roro has worked at Fred Meyer for 18 years, but recently, her hours were cut to just four a day, making it nearly impossible to cover basic expenses. Her daughter, Alana, is also struggling to make ends meet at her job at Super Chix. Every month is a challenge for them to pay rent and keep up with bills.

Recently, Alana's car was towed from her apartment complex because she couldn't afford to pay for her vehicle tabs. The cost to retrieve the car is growing each day it stays in the lot. Without her car, Alana is at risk of losing her job, since her work hours overlap with her mom's and they rely on that transportation to get by. Roro tried to teach tough love, but now feels responsible for the situation, even though it's not her fault—it's just a matter of cash flow and tough times.

I've helped them as much as I can, but I was laid off just before Christmas and can't contribute more. Roro is too proud to share her story, so I'm reaching out on their behalf.
