Help Alana Heal After Heroic Act

On Sunday, August 17th, our niece Alana was seriously injured while playing outside of a recently vacated rental property.

While Alana played outside the home with her cousins, she ran around the corner of a dumpster with her little cousin Jaden, when a device suddenly detonated. Alana bravely pushed her cousin out of harms way, saving his life. Her act of bravery resulted in her taking the majority of the impact from the blast.

Alana sustained life-threatening injuries and has already undergone multiple medical procedures, including the removal of shrapnel, reattachment of her leg, and a vein transfer to restore blood flow. She will need additional surgeries and a long recovery before she can return home. Even after discharge, ongoing medical care and rehabilitation will be necessary.

We are raising funds to help cover medical expenses and the temporary modifications needed at home so that Alana can heal in comfort and safety. Every contribution allows her parents to focus fully on her recovery and healing journey.
