Hi, we’re raising funds for our cat Alan and his urgent dental treatment.

Alan came into our lives unexpectedly as a stray. He showed up where we used to live, nervous and semi-feral, clearly not used to people. Over time, we slowly gained his trust and decided to take him in and give him a proper home.

We discovered that Alan had been previously trapped, neutered, and released, which explains why he was living outside. Since taking him in, we’ve registered him with a vet, made sure he’s vaccinated, and we pay monthly for his care so he can stay healthy.

The transformation in Alan has been incredible. He now comes in every night and sleeps in his own bed in our hallway. Recently, he’s even started jumping up onto the sofa and occasionally onto the bed—huge milestones for a cat who once wouldn’t come near us. He loves being stroked, though he’s still wary of loud noises and sudden movements.

Alan still likes his freedom and goes out during the day (we have no idea where!), but he always comes home for dinner, warmth, and safety.

Unfortunately, Alan now needs extensive dental work. Our vet initially estimated he was around 5 years old, but due to the condition of his teeth, they now believe he may be closer to 10. The treatment is essential for his comfort and quality of life.

We’re aiming to raise £750 to help cover the cost of his dental procedure. We will be contributing ourselves, but covering the full amount all at once will be a real financial stretch for us.
