Hey friends. I’m going out on a limb and sharing some personal health problems, and it’s really hard to ask for help. I’m having frequent, aggressive seizures, and it’s become pretty serious. A spot showed up on scans on my frontal lobe, and it was scary the first time I had a seizure. Since then, my seizures have become more frequent and more intense by the week, and I’ve spent a lot of time in and out of ambulances and hospitals.
I have something called social cortical dysplasia, which means a tiny spot on my brain didn’t form properly. It usually doesn’t affect people until their 20s or 30s, because the brain tries to form it after you’re already done developing. My last seizure was especially bad—I hit my head and back on my bed frame and bit a chunk out of my tongue. The medical bills are piling up faster than I can keep up, and I have a long road ahead.
The funds from this fundraiser will help cover past medical bills, ambulance rides, and future testing and medicine. I’ve had to miss a lot of work and have gotten behind on expenses because of it. Any help would be appreciated, and I am so thankful for anyone who is able to donate, even the smallest amount. Your support means the world to me and will hopefully help me get the testing and care I need sooner. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
