Help Alan Gilbert Rebuild after RV Fire Total Loss

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Michelle Pallozzi and I'm trying to help raise funds for Alan Gilbert. On Friday, September 22nd there was a devastating fire at the Chattanooga Camping World. Saturday morning he received a phone call letting him know that not only was the entire building destroyed, his RV and his full-time home was in the building at the time as he had taken it to have some repairs done.

We always talk about how when you are full-time in an RV with no home base that you are houseless not homeless, however now that his "house" has been destroyed it literally puts him into that homeless category as well. Everything was lost in the fire. The only possessions he has are the few things that he brought over to his mom's while staying there.

Not only has he suffered a devastating loss with the RV, he was back there because his mom just passed away and they've been going through the funeral, sorting through all her belongings and the house on top of it. This comes third in the list of crazy things after being sick for over a year with COVID and just finally bouncing back.

It is going to take time for him to rebuild his life as Camping World is saying they're not liable for the loss because they are not responsible if something happens while the RV is in their possession. He had insurance which will cover something but since there was still money owed on the trailer, he'll be lucky if he walks away not owing anything. As far as possessions, they will give him only a fraction of what he had in there as it was his entire life and will not be enough to cover replacing and starting over. It could be a long and arduous process to try and go after Camping World so he's now left with nothing and trying to figure out how to move on.

We appreciate anything and everything you can do to support Alan during this devastating time. While grieving the loss of his mother and now the loss of his home and all of his possessions including clothing, some irreplaceable memories and a lot of important documents and paperwork, I'm hoping he'll be able to pick up the pieces and start over and get back out on the road.

Any money raised is going to go straight to help offset expenses while he figures out what he's going to do, help replace some of the items the insurance is not going to cover as well as things he'll need while this whole process goes on. It could drag on for a while because if there's a legal case against Camping World, we know how that goes. It could take a very long time before he gets any kind of compensation. No one, including anyone from the insurance company can't even get into the building to see and assess the damage until they dig through the rubble.

I know what it's like to lose everything in a fire so I am kindly asking for donations to help him get through this unimaginable tragedy not to be wished on anyone. Even just a prayer for him would be a blessing at this time. If you can't afford to donate it this time, it would be greatly appreciated if you could share this with your friends and family. Let's help Alan get his life back. The last few years have just been one thing after another and he really does deserve a break. He's one of the nicest people you'll ever meet and he would do anything for anyone.
