The social and financial consequences of being on dialysis are incredibly tough, with so much of my time spent at a clinic receiving medical care. Relying on a social security check makes it nearly impossible to keep up with basic needs, especially with the state of the economy right now. Every day is a challenge, and it’s hard to see a way forward without support.

Having a safe place to call home would mean so much for my recovery and overall well-being. Even being able to rent a room or a small studio would help me rest and recover from dialysis treatments, improve my circadian rhythm, and give me a better chance at managing my health. With stable housing, I could focus on being disciplined with my health and work towards finding even a basic job, which feels out of reach right now.
