Build a thing. Fix a thing. Grow a thing. Do it together.

At REAP Climate Center, we believe our neighbors should have practical skills—and people they can count on—for whatever the future brings.

We’re raising $174,000 to cover a critical funding gap in REAP’s operations through December 2026. Your gift will help sustain the work that brings people together in Alameda to learn, build, and support a more resilient community.

A place to learn. A community to belong to.

REAP is a trade school for nature-based climate jobs and a community hub on the Island of Alameda. We help people gain job skills and connect with work, while giving neighbors a place to share knowledge and learn alongside one another.

Growing food. Building and repairing things. Learning about renewable energy. Finding better ways to care for the land and each other. These are practical ways to prepare for change—and reasons to come together today.

For someone pursuing a climate career, REAP can be a place to begin. For a neighbor who wants to learn a skill or contribute one, it can be a place to connect. Our free community gatherings create room for that connection, alongside REAP’s workforce training.

Why we’re asking now

The skills and relationships we build together matter in ordinary times and difficult ones. Sustaining the place where that happens takes operating support.

Our immediate goal is to close the $174,000 funding gap through December. This campaign supports REAP’s critical operations; it is separate from our longer-term land and infrastructure fundraising.

Help carry this work forward

Please give what you can to help sustain REAP through December. If REAP has been part of your life, tell someone what it means to you and share this campaign with them.

Whether you live in Alameda or believe in what a community like this can make possible, you can help.

More neighbors with practical skills. More people who know one another. An Alameda better prepared to meet the future together.

Thank you for supporting REAP Climate Center.
