My name is Alaina, and my husband Brandon and I are facing one of the hardest times of our lives as we prepare to welcome our first child this April. While we were away from home for barely two hours, our house caught fire with all four of our beloved animals inside. We lost our sweet dog Lola, and our other dog, Nelly, had to spend two nights in the ER vet and still has a long road to recovery. Thankfully, our two cats made it out okay, but our home will need to be gutted and most of our belongings are ruined.

The funds raised here will help us cover Nelly’s ongoing vet bills and help us get into a comfortable and safe spot before our baby arrives. We are deeply grateful for the essentials and kindness we’ve already received from our community—it has truly lifted our spirits during this difficult time.
