HELP ALAIN GET HIS INDEPENDENCE BACK!

My name is Brad Barret and I am opening this campaign for my friend Alain who lives is Nicaragua and is a paraplegic!

On September 6th 2021, Alain was involved in a car accident that caused him an Incomplete Cervical 7 Spinal Cord Injury. Inmediatly his life changed, not being able to walk from that moment. In Nicaragua he was not covered by the Social Security Institute nor did he receive a compensation from the driver involved in the crash, being forced to pay for his inmediate surgery and medical expenses out of pocket.

After almost 4 years and with great effort he has been able to improve his mobility slowly. The main purpose of this campaign is to recollect funds for new therapies that can benefit him and that are not provided by the public health system. Well equipped clinics are located in the Capital Managua, 1 hour away from his hometown Diriamba.

The funds will also help with his daily expenses until he can get more independence and generate income for himself given the fact that Nicaragua is not the most accessible country for injured people.
