Help Alaa's family survive the winter in a tent and evacuate
Donation protected
The ongoing genocide in Gaza has shattered our lives, leaving me and my family homeless, jobless, without any source of income and any sense of direction or safety. We literally lost everything we had.
I have been separated from my family since October 2023, as I am outside Gaza and I haven't even met my my first child, who was born in the war.
My family has been displaced many times, and subjected to multiple and terrible attacks. They are 13 in number with my son Sanad, my wife, my two brothers, and my little siblings Tamim, Yaman, Jumana, and Loujain who are still children.
While displaced in Khan Younis, their shelter was destroyed in the Massacre of the Tents. After the ceasefire, they found shelter at the house of our relatives, but it has just been bombed during the night and completely destroyed. My family survived, but got severely injured by the shelling. Half of my family is now at the hospital and the other half is homeless and unable to evacuate, as there is no safety and no money for transportation.
My family has been living on this campaign for a year and a half and until now my father has not been able to return to work due to the loss of his source of income and lives on this campaign.
There has been no provision of drinking water or food for more than 2 weeks as the crossing is closed, and the prices of food and commodities are exhorbitant. For more than 14 days they have not had any decent food, only canned food and bread, as there is nothing in the markets like vegetables, meat, etc. They are in the middle of a severe famine that is spreading now in Gaza, without a shelter and vulnerable to everything.
Thus I’m reaching out to our humane community out there with a heartfelt plea for assistance and support: help me providing them with the means to survive and help me evacuate them from Gaza and rebuild our home and our lives.

This fundraiser will allow me to provide my family with enough money for them to buy food, and other basic items, to pay for displacement once again and find a proper shelter and, as soon as the border reopens, to pay for their evacuation: my wife and baby son, my mother and father, along with my brothers and sisters, Diaa, Muhammad, Tamer, Sarah, and Batoul.

Every donation, no matter how small, will make a huge difference to our lives. It will allow us to cover the expensive evacuation fees (before the closing of the crossing it amounted to about 7000€ per adult and 3000€ per child), travel and accommodation costs, daily expenses in our temporary home, health care for ourselves and the children. Once we are able to return, we will use the money raised to rebuild and furnish our home. This will help us get by until I'm hopefully able to return to work.
Your support during this profoundly challenging time will offer us hope amid despair. Your generosity won't just help us be together and hopefully have a roof over our heads, but inspirit our belief in humanity.
Thank you, from our hearts,
Alaa Mohsen Hum Al-Din
