This fundraiser is to help raise money for our parents, Al and Susan Peterson. We consider ourselves so lucky that they only suffered material losses that can all be rebuilt or replaced. They are trying to salvage whatever they can, all while my mom feeds the neighborhood off her little Coleman stove. Hurricane Ian brought a tree down onto their home along with about 6-8 inches of water flooding the inside. Their car was also submerged and is no longer running. While they have hurricane insurance, they did not have flood coverage. They are absolutely making the best of it, but they will need to rebuild as their home is no longer safe to live in.

If you know Sue and Al you know they are always the first to help out, no questions asked. I don't think there has been a single fundraiser/walk/run/charity that my mom has not donated to. They never ask for help and probably wouldn't now, so we will.
