Help Al recover from car accident

Hey y’all, if you’re reading this I love you.
Saturday, April 22nd around 9 pm I was coming off the freeway approaching the light on Gratiot when I noticed in my rear view mirror a car was driving insanely fast and switching lanes. Then there was a loud boom and my head hit the steering wheel rendering me unconscious. When I came to I had to pull off some extreme evasive maneuvers and use my emergency break to not hit the vehicle in front of me. The suv rear ended me going 60 mph, sending my car flying a 1/4 of a mile down the road, and totaling both vehicles. My back window shattered sending my items in my car flying out, including the glasses that were on my face.
I went to the ER that evening and I had a concussion, severe whiplash, bruising + swelling with c-spine trauma. I’m grateful that it was not more severe.
Before this accident I already had daily chronic pain with my knees and full body arthritis.
The healing process for me will take longer than it might for others. Because of this and having no car, I won’t be able to keep my current job.
But I’m looking at the positives and trying to move forward. However, that’s where I need your help. I’ve found an SUV for $10,000 that would not only mean I could continue working but wouldn’t be so close to the ground. I’m working with a therapist for the trauma of the accident but it’s very clear to me that I am terrified to be in a small car again.
Absolutely any dollar amount you can contribute is getting me one step closer to my normal life and to healing. If you’re not able to contribute, which I totally understand, sharing this fundraiser would be extremely helpful as well.
Beyond that, all of your kind words and support are truly keeping my head above water right now.
I feel the strength of my community behind me and I know I’m not doing this alone.
I hope one day to find the right words to express how deeply grateful I am to all of you.
