Help Al Rebuild After Fire
Donation protected
This is my Uncle Al. He is a retired special education teacher, musician, photographer, artist, table tennis player, dog trainer, and one of the kindest people you will ever meet. He’s managed to make ends meet on his Georgia teacher salary (now retired Georgia teacher salary) by living frugally in a mobile home on a small stretch of land.
On March 21st, Al’s uninsured trailer that he has lived in for 25 years burned down and he lost his home, as well as most of the property inside. He was able to save some of his music instruments, a good camera and some clothes, as well as anything he had in his shed, but is just starting over with everything else right now.
He’s worked out a deal to be able to move a new mobile home onto the property, but there are a lot of up-front costs that he needs to cover in order to get things up and running. Between decks ($1000), water and electricity connections ($4000), demolition and removal of the burned out home ($5500), septic tank inspection and service ($800), tree removal ($1000), skirting ($600 DIY?) and down payment ($3800), savings are gone. A number of people, (friends and strangers) have really been generous with donations out of their pocket and places to stay, but additional funds would go a long way toward keeping him out of debt.
Please consider helping him out if you are able.
Thank you!
