To all my dear family and friends,
My name is Albert William Herda III. Chances are, if you’re reading this, you know and love my dad, Al Jr. He’s a hardworking, honest-earning father of two who is generous beyond his means. He has spread love, smiles, and happiness through hosting karaoke throughout the greater Chicago region for 20 years.
Yesterday, he was involved in a motorcycle accident while on a family motorcycle trip to finally check out the famous Psycho Silo. The accident left him with a shattered scapula, road rash, a banged-up knee and ankle, and unfortunately, the inability to work a day job for the next few months.
My dad is the last person who would ever ask for charity, but without income for the next few months, he’s going to need a little bit of help to pay the hospital bills and keep the lights on. I’m humbly asking for any small donations you can afford to give. Let’s help make my dad whole so he can “keep on keepin' on.”
I love you all,
- AWHIII
p.s.
The owners and staff at Psycho Silo were absolutely incredible in making a stressful and traumatic evening otherwise bearable. They came right up to the scene of the accident and did all they could to help out, even grabbing extra tools we needed to get one of the involved bikes back up and running.
Justin, the Guardian Angel of the night, took it upon himself to volunteer his time and resources to transport my dad’s bike back to his house. Without him, it would have just been another thing on the list to deal with.
Lastly, but certainly not least, a huge thank you to the volunteer fire department for their speedy response time and getting my dad to the hospital safely.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, to everyone involved.
