Help Retired BSO Al Humphreys Heal and Rebuild

We are reaching out to you today to ask for your support for a remarkable man who has dedicated his life to serving and protecting our community in Boward County, Florida. Harrison “Al” Humphreys recently experienced a severe health incident that required intensive care and will require a lengthy and challenging recovery process. Although asking for help is the last thing many people ever want to do, this is a dire time that necessitates this effort. Al needs our collective support during this difficult time.

For 30 years, Al faithfully served in the Broward Sheriff's Office, retiring as a Sergeant in the Department of Detention. His commitment to our community did not end with his retirement. For the past six years, Al has worked as an armed security officer at SIG 9 Global, safeguarding young children at a private religious school in Cooper City. Al’s dedication, integrity, and kindness have made a lasting impact on everyone who knows him.

Al is not just a devoted public servant; he is also a dedicated single father of two children. Despite retiring, he continued to work tirelessly to ensure his children’s college education and well-being. Al’s selflessness and unwavering support for his family are a testament to his character.

Unfortunately, life’s unexpected events can drastically alter our paths, and Al’s health crisis has brought unforeseen financial challenges that could have a profound impact on his family’s stability. However, we believe that a united community can help mitigate the negative effects of this devastating situation and will boost his spirits and determination.
