Al Clark is a trainer at the gym my friends and I work out at. He is one of the nicest and most genuine people you will meet. Al has had a lot of difficulty in his life and was robbed and carjacked at gunpoint on 7/12. 

     A little more background on Al: After college Al was drafted to the NFL as a quarterback but tore his ACL and was unable to play again. Al struggled financially after his injury resulting in him having to work 3 jobs at separate gyms to pay for his expenses. He joined the gym staff as a trainer in 2020 but we didn’t learn about his struggles until recently when he opened up and told us his story. In 2023 Al’s appendix burst, almost killing him and leaving him with thousands of dollars in medical expenses he could not afford. Through hard work last year Al was getting back on his feet, when his car broke down and he was left no other choice than to Uber over 40 minutes to work everyday. In spite of this, Al continued to show up to the gym with a smile and a positive mindset. He was finally able recently to buy a new car that he had saved up for for months to drive to work.

On July 12th on his way to work, Al was robbed. He was held at gun point and forced to give all his money to the gunmen. If you met Al, you would know why we are making the effort to help him as he is an amazing person who has had terrible things happened to him.
