My name is Akzel, and I’m reaching out for help for my family and me. These past few days have been incredibly hard—we haven’t had enough money for food or rent, and I’m doing everything I can to keep us going. I live in housing with my three kids: a 6-year-old, a 4-year-old, and a newborn baby. My oldest has cerebral palsy and epilepsy, so he needs regular therapy and doctor visits. Today, on my way to work, my car suddenly stopped working and wouldn’t accelerate. I’m not in a position to fix it or buy another, and now I can’t get to work. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to take my son to his therapy sessions or doctor appointments, which he truly needs since he can’t speak, walk, or sit. He also has silent seizures, so we need to keep up with his medication. Friends and family think it might be the transmission, which is very expensive to fix. I’ve lost a car before because of this, and I’m scared it could happen again. I don’t want to lose our home, especially since it’s for my oldest son with disabilities. I’m not asking for money for a new car—just enough to fix the one we have so I can keep working and caring for my kids.
Getting help would make a huge difference for us. Fixing my car would let me go back to work, provide for my family, and make sure my son gets the therapy and medical care he needs. It would also help with food, rent, and things my son’s insurance doesn’t cover, like special chairs or beds. I have a lot of faith, and I keep fighting for my kids no matter what. Even a penny would mean the world to us, and I’m grateful for any support you can give. I know I’m not the only one going through tough times, but my kids are my world, and it breaks my heart to tell them we might lose our home or go without food. God bless every single person who helps—I will always be thankful.
