Help Akynos visit her mom who is critically ill

Hi, my name is Amanda, and I've created this fundraiser for Akynos to make a trip to the USA to visit her mother and family. Akynos' mom is very ill with stage 4 cancer, and this trip will mean interrupting work that Akynos is doing traveling through western Africa. She was not planning to make this trip, and it will require several significant costs for Akynos, including very expensive flights, potentially extended stay in America, and a delay of her return to work in Berlin.

Akynos has done so much for so many of us and provides much-needed support and advocacy in the many communities she is part of. Please join me in helping her have a meaningful visit with her mom.
