Help Akshay & Sherlock get their own place

Donation protected
Hi my name is Akshay Vaidya.

I know this feels like a cop-out or asking for money seems just not great to me, but my life has been hit by tragedy after tragedy recently.

I am a alcoholic in recovery with 5 months sober now. I recently developed rhabdomyolosis and spent 6 days in the hospital (LGH) on IV fluids and IV antibiotics.

Apparently there’s some kind of warrant on me for a previous old crime.

I was arrested by 6 police in 6 cars and booked into Lancaster station. After spending 2 hours there I was picked up by Plymouth meeting police and extradited to Montgomery county. I spent the night in jail and saw the judge and was released. I tried to come home to my recovery house, but was informed that they had discharged me.

The reason? I was causing too much drama in the house with police showing up and I was not welcome. I will be facing a new legal charge with this and do not have the money to afford a lawyer.

My roomate and the house manager packed my things. I had to Uber there 2x to collect my things and when I went up to my room I saw my roomate had kept many of my personal things. 2 brooks brothers shirts, 1 gap hoodie, several body washes and cosmetic things. My bottle of prescription Adderall was missing that my recovery doctor had prescribed to me for my ADHD. And 2 bottles full of vape juice were missing. And 2 strips of my prescription Suboxone were missing.

I’m in a Red Roof Inn and have spent already $288 on three nights stay. If I go to another recovery house they will not let me treat my ADHD with Adderall because that’s the rules in most places.

My dog Sherlock is with my parents and I haven’t lived with him in 10 months. I can’t keep a pet in any recovery house. I do miss him terribly and want him back as a support.

I’m hoping you see it in your heart to give a little to me to accomplish my goal of having my own place. It will allow me to treat my ADHD with medication and to treat my addiction with Suboxone. I attend AA meetings on a regular basis. I have a sponsor and am working the 12 steps. I am looking for work but have not found any due to all of these things happening in my life derailing me.

I hope you will find this plea to be reasonable so I can continue to stay sober and be a productive member of society. I pray I am able to overcome my addictions and be a better man everyday.

If you have a little to spare please help me achieve this goal while I look for work and begin to save money myself.

Thank you, and God bless you all.
