Our father, Akram, a loving husband and devoted father, was involved in a devastating accident when a large metal gate fell on him. He suffered severe head injuries requiring 17 stitches, and the bones in both of his legs were crushed, requiring urgent and high-risk surgery due to his heart condition. External fixators were placed on both legs to stabilize the damage, and the cost of the fixators alone exceeded $15,000, in addition to the rest of the surgical and hospitalization expenses. There will likely be further medical and rehabilitation costs throughout his healing process. The operation saved his life, but it has left us with overwhelming financial burdens beyond our means.
