My name is Akira Carter, though many people now know me as A.J.’s mummy. I am an ordinary person doing everything I can to support the dreams and future of my child.

On December 27th, 2025, I suddenly fell ill with what I initially believed was a severe migraine accompanied by joint pain. As the hours passed, my condition worsened rapidly. Within just three days, I lost the ability to use my legs and most of the functions in my hands, leaving me partially paralyzed.

Doctors here in Barbados are still unable to determine the cause of my condition, and without a clear diagnosis, my treatment options are limited. For this reason, I am seeking medical care abroad where more advanced testing and specialist treatment are available.

I am humbly asking for your support to help cover the costs of overseas medical care, travel, and rehabilitation. Any contribution, no matter the size, brings me one step closer to answers, treatment, and the hope of regaining my independence so I can continue being the mother my child deserves.
