Hi all. I am reaching out to ask for your help in saving my sweet girl Akira who suffered from a medical emergency yesterday, August 5.

Akira is a senior lady. She is 14 and has had a few hiccups in health these past 6 months - after losing the love of all our lives, Myles, she took awhile to get back on track. Yesterday we found her with her right eye filled with blood - after 7 hours at Tufts Medical, she was diagnosed with extremely high blood pressure and diabetes. A stressed cats BP is 180 - our girl was 250+.

In order to save her, admittance was a must for them to safely bring her BP back down and to stabilize her to return home and start further treatments.

Continuous vet treatment, multiple medications, and paying off our bill to Tufts (currently in the $3k range) is daunting. I am never one to ask for help but I am humbly asking if you have anything to spare for my girl, I would be forever grateful. I held her for a long time before leaving her at Tufts and could see in her eyes she still has some fight left - please help me fight with her.

Akira is a bold, sassy, snuggly girl who charms everyone she meets - especially people who don’t like cats. I have had her since the day she was born, as the runt to her mama Adelaide. I bottle fed her and knew I would love her forever.
