I come to you with a humble heart on behalf of Akhona Mabhena, a 12-year-old girl and child of my brother. Many of you may know her. She is currently unwell and being treated in Johannesburg.

Akhona has been diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome — a kidney condition where the kidneys leak protein instead of keeping it in the body. This causes serious health challenges as her body loses the vital proteins it needs to function properly.

While her kidneys have not failed completely, this condition requires ongoing treatment, medication, and close monitoring.

We are kindly asking, on behalf of the family, for your help. Even a small donation of any amount can go a long way in helping Akhona get the support and treatment she needs.
