Akemi is more than just my best friend.. she has been with me through the darkest times of my life and pulled me out of the deepest pits I've ever lived through. I rescued her from a ditch when she was only a few weeks old. I raised her and trained her myself. She's my child. She's the sweetest, kindest, most intelligent dog I have ever known. She's never been aggressive to anyone or any thing. I've tried so hard to take care of her and give her the best life I could possibly give her for all that she has done for me but now I'm terrified.. She's only 4 years old but is showing signs of liver failure.. she has yellow eyes and yellow gums. She hasn't been wanting to eat lately. We don't make enough to take her to the vet on our own. The upfront payment alone they're saying is $500. They're talking about hospitalization and blood work and more that could total over $2000 and we don't make enough to cover those costs and I'm so scared but I can't sit by and do nothing while my baby gets more and more sick. I can't lose her... please, if there's anything anyone can do, anything you're willing to donate to help cover her vet bills.. please find the kindness in your heart to donate... She means everything to me. She does not deserve this.
